ABOUT

I have been a professional artist for 25 years after graduating from Portland School of Art with a B.F.A. in Ceramics. I have explored many different media over the years, including 12 years designing polymer clay jewelry. I have furthered my education through the continuing studies program at MECA taking classes in bookmaking, printmaking, silkscreen design, encaustic painting and more. In 2002, I started making books, began teaching bookmaking throughout the state, as well exhibiting my books in galleries.

In 2011, I was ordained an Interfaith Minister and have pursued, along with the continuation of my art, a path of ministry that includes being a celebrant, giving UU sermons, bereavement support, funerals  and  serving  as a faculty member for  the Chaplaincy Institute of Maine in 2013-2015.

In 2016, I founded the Ecuadorian Arts Initiative which serves the creative needs of children throughout Ecuador.

Artistically, I devote much of my time currently to printmaking using geli Plates and monotypes using  an etching press. I continue to take personal commissions for one-of-a-kind  books and teach bookmaking and printmaking throughout the state. People are welcome to visit me in my studio to either purchase work or to receive studio time with tutorials and access to materials.
